For over 50 years, The Children’s Society has helped some of the country’s most vulnerable children and young people through Christingle celebrations.

Christingle is a candle-lit festive celebration that's perfect for bringing families and communities together. Already a wonderful festive tradition for so many churches, schools and community groups – but we believe it’s the organisers and their unique ideas which make them so special. There’s no set way to celebrate Christingle, so it’s great opportunity to get creative with how you would like to bring it to life.

This year promises to be more magical and family-friendly than ever, thanks to the Christingles – a cast of fun and friendly characters coming to churches, schools and community centres up and down the country to help share the joy with everyone.

With this in mind, we’ve created this helpful guide containing lots of helpful hints and tips to get you Christingling and help make your celebration unforgettable. Collections made at Christingle celebrations help to fund The Children’s Society’s work, with children and young people facing the darkest situations imaginable.
